Welcome Back to School!

A warm welcome from Eastern York Middle School (EYMS) PTSO. PTSO is Eastern York Middle School's Parent Teacher Student Organization which has worked during the past 15 years to make a difference for our 6th, 7th and 8th grade student experience.

Each year we volunteer our time and resources, including raising more than $20,000 to provide the "extras" that help make the EYMS experience a great one. In addition to the support PTSO provides to help underwrite field trips for all students, the annual R.I.S.E program for students who qualify, as well as funds for classroom resources and student incentives, we sponsor quarterly FunKnights, the Winterfest Craft Show, The Lock-In Event and the annual 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony. While everyone is busy with the demands of daily life, we encourage you to get involved in the PTSO in a way that works best for your life. Here are some ways that you can get involved:

1. Become a PTSO member by completing the membership form and returning it by September 20. There is no cost to join, but donations are always welcome. You'll receive regular emails about EYMS PTSO activities and plans. My meetings are held the 2nd Monday of every month in the school Library at 6:30pm.
2. Volunteer your time. We need both individuals to help organize some of this year's activities as well as those who want to simply volunteer for a one-time activity or event. We are currently looking for individuals to help Chair the following areas: Restaurant/Store Fundraiser, Book Fair and Hospitality.
3. Support our fundraisers or make a donation. You can help by purchasing candy or other items during PTSO sales or by sending a donation with your membership form.
4. Join us at PTSO meetings, Winterfest and FunKnights. Check out our EYMS PTSO Webpage (on the EYMS site) for all dates.
