World Language

French I (Prerequisite: None)
French I is offered to all students who have the desire to pursue the study of French language and culture. Primary attention is directed toward the acquisition of basic vocabulary and a working knowledge of basic French grammar. 1 credit - 6 periods/cycle.

French II (C-average French I)
French II is offered to students who wish to continue to study French. Effort is made to gain greater knowledge of understanding, speaking, reading, and writing of the language. 1 credit - 6 periods/cycle.

French III (C-average French II)
In French III, students will continue a more in-depth study of speaking, reading, and writing French. In addition, the culture of France will be studied. 1 credit - 6 periods/cycle. .

Spanish I (Prerequisite: None)
Spanish I is offered to students in Grades 9 to 12 who wish to pursue the study of a worldlanguage. Primary attention is directed toward the acquisition of a basic vocabulary and a working knowledge of basic Spanish grammar. 1 credit - 6 periods/cycle. .

Spanish II (C-average Spanish I)
Spanish II is offered to students who wish to continue with the study of Spanish. Effort is made to gain greater knowledge of understanding, speaking, reading, and writing of the language. 1 credit - 6 periods/cycle. .

Spanish III (C-average Spanish II)
In Spanish III, students will continue a more in-depth study of speaking, reading, and writing Spanish.  In addition, the culture of the Hispanic countries will be studied. 1 credit - 6 periods/cycle.

Spanish IV (C-average Spanish III)
Students in Spanish IV will continue to develop their skills and will study the culture of the Hispanic countries in more depth. 1 credit - 6 periods/cycle.

German I (Prerequisite: None)
German I is offered to all students who wish to pursue the study of the German language and culture.  This course emphasizes listening comprehension and oral expression as well as reading and writing skills. 1 credit - 6 periods/cycle.

German II (C-average German I)
German II is offered to all students who wish to increase their knowledge of the German language and culture.  This course expands speaking, reading, writing and comprehension  skills to a broader range of topics and situations. 1 credit - 6 periods/cycle.

German III (C-average German II)
German III is offered to students who want to develop a thorough knowledge of German language and culture.  This course explores speaking topics and situations in greater detail, and expands on speaking, listening, writing and reading skills. After its successful completion, students will be able to cope with everyday situations in an all German environment. 1 credit - 6 periods/cycle.
