Special Programs

Attention Sophomores and Juniors!! If you have a desire to learn about our American free enterprise system, you can apply to attend Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week to be held this summer at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Students are given the opportunity to learn about the free enterprise system by acting as an executive management team with the task of turning an “imaginary company” into a financial success. You will determine selling prices, marketing costs, budgets for production, research and development, financing, stock offerings, and develop your own marketing strategies and advertising campaign–in short, all of the decisions that operating a company typically demand. You will also have the opportunity to interact with top executives from such career fields as law, finance, hospital administration, engineering, manufacturing, advertising, environmental protection, computer technology, and politics. Students from all over Pennsylvania are invited to participate in this program, so you will have the opportunity to meet people from all over the state, but still be given the opportunity to choose your own roommate! In addition, you will be able to enjoy the experience of spending a week on a college campus.

Students are sponsored by local businesses and associations and are awarded scholarships that cover the cost of attendance; however an $235 registration fee is required.
