| John, nicknamed "Wes", was involved
in wrestling 9th through 12th grade. He also belonged to the following clubs:
Table Tennis Club, Varsity Club, and Audio Visual Club. |

| John died from cancer on Oct. 17, 2000. He
was married 13 years to Carolyn (Welch) Smith. He had 2 sons, 4 daughters,
9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was an auto mechanic, worked
for Dick's MacCaw World in Thomasville and was also a US Army veteran. He
was born on July 6, 1955. He lived in Thomasville at the time of his death.
