During the fall of 2000, Canadochly Elementary School
began a mission to motivate and encourage students and teachers by recognizing
academic excellence. The Renaissance Program is a nationwide program
that encourages a partnership between teachers, parents, administrators,
and businesses. It brings together the ideas of all these people to
help students appreciate and understand the joys of learning. Renaissance
is not merely a program: it is a dynamic process that continually modifies
itself to meet the needs of our school.
 
The mission of the Renaissance program is to promote
academic excellence. Renaissance will do this by recognizing students
who meet the specific criteria which is listed on our Renaissance
Criteria Page. The Renaissance Program will allow every student's
good work and conduct to be recognized. The hope is that this program
will encourage every child to do his or her best and increase pride
in our school.
