| The Eastern York Dollars for Scholars Program exists for the purposes of expanding access to higher education for resident students. Keeping that purpose in mind, specific student eligibility requirements and criteria for awarding of the scholarships have been established and are listed below. | |||
| Read the information carefully and then complete the attached scholarship form. Completed scholarship forms must be returned to the high school guidance office. Each scholarship recipient will receive a ($ value determined each year by the EYDFS Board) award. Award recipients will be announced at the senior awards program. | |||

Eligibility and Scholarship Guidelines

| • | must have attended EYHS for a minimum of 50% of his/her high school years | ||
| • | must be planning to attend a post-secondary program at an accredited institution | ||
| • | scholarship must be awarded to an Eastern senior graduating during the year in which the application is completed | ||
| • | the award will be granted upon completion of the student's first semester transcript and matriculation to the second semester as confirmed by a copy of the student's bill for the second semester (for a program of less than two semesters, the award will be granted upon proof of completion of the program) | ||
| • | the number of scholarships awarded each year will be based on available funds and will be distributed on a ration of 4-year college attendees/2-year college or technical school program attendees (2 to 1) | ||
