Overview of District
   Eastern York School District is a rural community located in eastern York County. With a general population of approximately 17,000, our five schools house a total of 2850 students. The district is comprised of 6 municipalities: East Prospect Borough, Hallam Borough, Hellam Township, Lower Windsor Township, Yorkana Borough, and Wrightsville Borough.

To Be or Not To Be…

Why not become a member of newly formed Performing Arts Booster Club? Membership is open to parents/guardians and adult relatives of current Eastern York High School students, alumni, or any adult resident of the Eastern York School District. Membership dues are $1/year and for more details, contact Lisa Herrick (herrickml@verizon.net) or Robyn Strickler (rbstrickler@comcast.net). Beginning in September meetings will be held monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center.

Attention: Budget Notice

 

Notice to parents: Permission for an educational trip must be requested in writing to the district Attendance Officer two (2) weeks prior to a trip. The parent/guardian will be notified in writing as to the approval or disapproval of the request. Students are limited to a total of five (5) excused educational trip days in a school calendar year. It is the discretion of the administration as to what constitutes a trip as educational. No educational trips will be approved during the window of PSSA Assessment, during mid-term and final examinations, or during the first and last weeks of school.

If more than five (5) days are requested for a trip, the subsequent days will be marked as unexcused unless written permission is granted through the Superintendent.

If the student is absent from school and an educational trip form has not been submitted and written approval received from the district Attendance Officer, the days absent will be considered unexcused. printable trip request form
